Arriving On Your Disney Cruise

When you’re starting your Disney Cruise, there’s a lot going on. The ship is huge. The deck map is overwhelming. Where is my stateroom? The kids are hungry! Where do I start?

Take a breath, you’re home. At the end of your cruise, you’ll recall any anxiety you had when boarding like a distant unfounded memory and you’ll know the ship like the back of your hand.

One of the first things that I want you to remember is that you won’t be able to access your stateroom until about 130PM on departure day. The hallways to the staterooms are blocked off, but there are plenty of other areas of the ship to explore.

Bathrooms are plentiful and available on each deck with a public area.

There are also a variety of food options. You can visit the buffet upstairs, but one of the table service restaurants on a lower deck will be open for lunch as well. Depending on what you’re feeling, you can choose where to visit.

Keep in mind that your checked luggage will be delivered to your room, but it may not be there when you’re able to access your room at 130PM. It might be several hours before it’s delivered so be sure to pack everything that you need in those first few hours in your carry-on bag. Swimsuits, shorts, cap, sunscreen, medications, phone charger, and any other immediate needs.

Also remember that you’ll be taking your carry-on bag with you until you can get into your stateroom. Don’t worry…everyone else is doing the same! Will there be room at the buffet or in the restaurant for the bags? Yep! If it’s getting too crowded, just ask a wonderful crew member for some assistance.

Check out the pools. Make sure you’ve downloaded and connected with the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Tour the kids clubs! Visit Guest Relations with any questions. Take a walking tour of the ship. Eat. Snack. Eat. Repeat.

After 1:30, get settled into your stateroom, relax, and start the vacation of a lifetime!
