Good News for Fur Babies

Spending time at Walt Disney World with family is truly a magical experience! Our family pets are like family and sometimes leaving our loyal companions behind can be hard. Did you know that now you can take your dog along with you to Walt Disney World? That’s right! In October of 2017, Disney welcomed “man’s best friend” as guests at select resort properties. Your furry baby can be a special pal of Pluto!

Participating Resorts are: The Cabins at Fort Wilderness, Port Orleans Riverside, and Art of Animation for $50 per night.  Yacht Club also accepts your furr baby for $75 night. Certain floors and sections of these hotels are designated as “dog friendly.”

Disney will allow a maximum of two dogs per guest per room. Each resort location will have walking paths and designated green spaces for your pal to enjoy. All tail-wagging friends are expected be leashed in public areas, be well mannered, and as with all boarding, your dog must have the proper vaccinations. So, you will need to bring their vaccination records with you. Upon check-in, your dog will receive a special gift from Pluto!

Right now, there are no doggie sitter services at these locations. However, you can take your fur baby to a full-service pet facility operating right on property, Best Friends Pet Care. This location provides grooming, doggie-day care, and overnight boarding. Best Friends Pet Care also offers a variety of accommodations for your pet such as VIP Luxury Suites, and Villas with extra pampering services like grooming, playtime, walks, and ice-cream breaks! Also, with the convenience of a computer, you can make reservations in advance to their services online. You will also find pricing and availability there. Best Friends Pet Care also welcomes feline friends. So, your favorite Arisocat can purr in the lap of luxury!

Now, everyone in the family can experience the magic that is Disney!
