New Info on Disney’s Skyliner Transportation

Just before the holidays, new details were revealed to the once rumored Disney Skyliner transportation system.  This exciting new way to travel will connect you to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios as well as Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century Resort and Art of Animation Resort.  These skyliner cabins will give you an unforgettable view of Disney World from above.

Some of the skyliner cabins will have Disney characters depicted on the outside almost as if they were riding along with you!  Characters will include our favorites such as Mickey and the gang as well as some Disney movie icons!  Your unique views from the sky will include the World Showcase, Caribbean Beach Resort, iconic Hollywood Studios attractions like Tower of Terror, and Hourglass Lake adjacent to Pop Century Resort and Art of Animation Resort.

Disney also revealed that each of the stations will have a distinct design that coincides with it’s placement.  For example, Epcot’s Skyliner station will be inspired by the World Showcase.  The metal and glass canopies will have painted murals and ornamental steel structures.  Hollywood Studios’ station will resemble the park entrance and bus stations.  The shared station between Pop Century Resort and Art of Animation Resort will be colorful and fun like the resorts themselves.

Designed like an open air marketplace in the Caribbean, Caribbean Beach Resort’s station will be tropical-themed and the hub of Disney Skyliner activity.  Guests will be able to transfer gondola routes to travel to each destination here.  Last, guests will get a unique look at the mechanical and aerial components when they pass through the Disney Skyliner turn-station along Buena Vista Drive.  Looks like getting to the parks will be an experience all on its own!
