Please be sure you are aware of the most up-to-date information regarding the Real ID Act and passports. There are currently nine (9) states that are not yet compliant with the new IDs and, as a result, residents from these nine states will have to present a valid U.S. passport to travel by air within the United States and beyond.
These are the states as of right now:
- Kentucky
- Maine
- Minnesota
- Missouri
- Montana
- Oklahoma
- Pennsylvania
- South Carolina
- Washington
Other forms of ID acceptable at airports can be found on the official TSA website and include things such as military ID.
Beginning January 22, 2018 if you do not have the proper ID you will not be allowed through airport security.
Please be sure you will have what you need for your upcoming travel. Should you need to apply for a passport please do so as soon as possible, as it can take 6-8 weeks for processing.
